Restylane® & Perlane® Injectable Gels by Medicis Aesthetics

Restylane® and Perlane® are a family of products that are cosmetic dermal fillers that replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the skin to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth. As a form of hyaluronic acid (HA), Restylane® and Perlane® are approved by the FDA for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles folds.

The primary difference between the two products is that the gel particle size in Perlane® are larger and desgned for deeper injection than Restylane®. Your physician will help you determine which product is best for you. Both products typically last for at least six months. Results can vary.

Restylane® and Perlane® are administered by injection directly into the treatment site. As with all injections, some patients may experience discomfort. Prior to treatment, your physician will assess your need for pain management and determine which technique is right for you.
