Our volunteers are men and women who volunteer their time to assist patients, staff and The Skin Center.

Duties May Include:

• Greeting of patients
• Calling patients after surgery
• Contacting seniors for follow up who live alone 
• Running errands
• Service in patient care areas
  
• Service with children
• Special events 

Requirements:

• Caring, friendly and cheerful attitude
• Demonstration of responsible behavior
• Minimum age: 14 years old (in high school)
• Maximum Age: none
• Live within a reasonable commuting distance ( 10-20 minutes) of our Center
  
• Attendance at monthly meetings the 1st Thursday each month from 4-5 p.m. at the Skin Center
• Attendance at the new volunteer orientation & annual training meetings
• Commitment of one year of service
• Commitment to volunteer at least 20 hours per month

On special request, The Skin Center may offer a select few individuals a “short term” or “summer program”

Resident Physicians at The Skin Center:

• Minimum of 4 week block rotations are available to U.S. and foreign medical Residents wishing to gain dermatology  exposure
• Require minimum 30 hours per week.
• Please contact us directly to inquire about available time slots for your formal clerkship
• Opportunities for outstanding clinical experience and research opportunities
• 1-2 year physician fellowship positions available starting in July of each year for licensed MD’s

  focusing on Mohs surgery, Laser, Cosmetic Services, and Medical and Surgical Dermatology
